For RPiBuntu, you can add an additional armhf-testing repository that contains the latest but untested package versions. Currently, it contains the latest Linux kernel 4.1.7 and corresponding RPi2 firmware.

Just add the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://rpibuntu.kicherer.org/repos/vivid/ armhf-testing/
